Season 1
Wizards of the Waverly Place season 1 was premiered on 10-12-2007 and the season opener was entitled ‘Crazy Man Minute Sale’. Season opens with Alex who duplicates herself to be present in her wizardly class and at a sale at the same time. Justin tries several times to get his first kiss from Miranda but fails and Alex tries to help him by using her powers. Justin and Max plot a trick on Alex. Harper is hired at the Waverly Sub station and Alex helps her, using her magic so that she can overcome her maladroitness. Justin begins his tutorial services. TJ Taylor is another wizard who is allowed to use his unlimited powers; Alex meets him and invites him to convince her parents so that she too can have permissions to use unlimited powers. Alex discovers her parents’ flying carpet and asks her dad to teach her how to fly. Alex saves Harper using her magical powers when Gigi tries to embarrass her. Justin and Alex do plan a prank which is taken seriously. Justin gets a dragon dog and feels frustrated when someone else claims the dog. Alex goes to see an R-rated movie, along with her friends and she transports herself into the movie using her magical powers, Justin comes to save his sister. Meanwhile, Theresa discovers that her kids are growing up very quickly. Justin competes with a popular classmate as he wants himself to be chosen for the World School Summit at the UN. Accidentally, Alex falls in love with herself. Everyday competition between her and Justin makes Alex to use a magical genie, and she tries to make it sure that no one would ever compare them. As a result, everyone forgets about Justin and Alex tries to reverse the spell.
During a school tournament, a teacher tries to drain Justin’s magical powers but Alex stops her from doing so.Justin and Ales both try to impress their love interests. Jerry’s brother visits them. Alex’s report card displays ‘F’, so she tries to hide things from everyone, but doing so creates havoc. Alex’s employer takes credits of her creative ideas and she plans to take revenge on him. Alex celebrates her 15th birthday. Season comes to an end on 8-31-2008 with the episode entitled ‘Art Museum Piece’.
