Selena Gomez, the young star from the series ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’, is in news these days. A few days earlier she was in news when she celebrated her sixteenth birthday. The star was then in news because of the rumor that she is going around Nick Jonas. Rejecting all the rumors about her going around with Nick Jonas, she openly confessed that she is single and would love to date Shia LaBeouf. The 16-year-old star at a red carpet event for the St. Jude Children’s Hospital Runway For Life benefit, said, “Let Shia know I’m available,”. I guess that she has a huge crush on the star otherwise she would not have admitted that so openly.

Well, getting on to the professional side of the star, Selena these days is busy with her new album. Selena said that she is almost ready with her upcoming album and that she would love to record a song with Paramore singer Hayley Williams, best friend Demi Lovato, and even Miley Cyrus as for that matter. After her this statement the star is also being compared to Miley Cyrus, who is one of the best in her field.

Selena Gomez plays the role of Alex Russo, one of the main lead in the series. She along with her siblings appears to be normal from outside, but they have certain powers with them. They all are Wizards in training and have got the power from their father, who has not used his powers after his marriage. The series is currently running in its second season. The series along with the much hyped star of the series Selena is loved and watched by all. I hope that we will get to see many more seasons of the stunning series.

Today, I’m gonna talk about a very exciting as well as the most awaited event of the year. Hey! It’s Halloween and Disney Channel has full plans to celebrate it, with their month-long ploy named ‘Wiz-Tober’. Don’t get confused, if you haven’t heard this name before. Actually, its’ network’s month long Halloween Program which will be hosted by the star cast of Hit Disney series ‘Wizards of Waverley Place’. Celebrities, who will be hosting ‘Wiz Tober’ are, Selena Gomez playing Alex Russo on series, David Henrie portraying Justin Russo, Jake T. Austin playing Max Russo and Jennifer Stone as Harper Evans. So, get ready to see all your ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ favorites in ‘Wiz-Tober’.

‘Wiz-Tober’ will feature all new episodes of series every Sunday (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) in October on Disney Channel. Here’s the line-up of ‘Wiz-Tober’-

On Sunday, October 5, the episode scheduled to air is ‘Graphic Novel’.

Catch the episode entitled ‘Racing’ on October 12.

‘Maximan’ will be aired on October 19.

On October 26, the episode planned to air is ‘Saving Wiz Tech, Part 1′.

‘Saving Wiz Tech, Part 2′ will be aired on October 26.

Wow!! Really an exciting upcoming event…. I think fun and enjoyment on ‘Wiz-Tober’ will surely shake the things up…. when everyone will be in Halloween mood.

We all know that ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ is coming back with second season and the upcoming season will have 26 episodes instead of 13 episodes, as per the latest official words. So, expectations from this season are high and I must say that its’ hard to wait till 9-12-2008- the day when second season will be premiered.

Fans are eager to watch second season and star cast has set all its efforts to promote the series, that’s why only the whole star cast of series along with Selena Gomez was seen at the World of Disney Store in NYC on Saturday, Sept. 06. They were en route to promote their hit Disney Channel series. Celebrities among the star cast were- Selena Gomez playing Alex Russo, David DeLuise playing Jerry Russo, Jennifer Stone playing Harper Evans, Jake T. Austin playing Max Russo and David Henrie playing Justin Russo on Wizards of Waverly Place.

Well, here’s something extra exciting…. Actually, Selena a.k.a Alex also shares her feelings about her favorite TV series. Any guesses??? Hey! It’s Gossip Girl. How many of you are crazy for the same TV show….. Honestly, I am. She says, “I absolutely love it. I think the whole cast knows that I like their show. They all looked as a group and waved and smiled at me [at last month’s Teen Choice Awards]. I almost had a heart attack”. This gorgeous was seen wearing a pinstripe front zip mini skirt and a white three quarter sleep top with a scoop neckline. Wizards’ of Waverly Place are back with second season and the more surprising and entertaining news is that Network has made an official announcement to extend the second season. It simply means that now we’ll have double fun and double entertainment with this upcoming season from series.

Disney Channel announces last week that it has extended the second season of its popular show ‘Wizards of the Waverly Place’ and now we’ll have 26 episodes instead of 13 episodes. It’s very brilliant decision made by the network for a series which has become one of the biggest hits of Disney channel, ranking No.1 among the kids and the teens as well. Gary Marsh, president of entertainment for Disney Channels Worldwide says, “Wizards is an unqualified hit, and it has turned its cast into bonafide superstars”.

So, what you say? Obviously, you’d say ‘it rocks’. Fans are very happy after this announcement and me too. Actually, I am a huge of series and was waiting for second season. Now, it’s good that our fave show is back with an extra bonus.

Well, second season will be premiered on 9-12-2008 with the episode entitled ‘Smarty Pants’. Here’s a little story of this upcoming episode: Alex wears Smarty Pants which give her all answers when she and Harper enter an academic competition. Later on, she realizes that her cheating methods are not going to pay her well.

Hey! It doesn’t mean that I’m very excited and felicitous after season 1 finale, actually, its’ my way to express how much eagerly I am waiting for second season. Season 1 finale ‘Art Museum Piece’ was aired on August 31, 08 and it was an end to a 21 episodes long season. Let’s see what happens on this season finale:

Alex decides to have a short cut on her Art History assignment and brings the historical masterpieces as such Mona Lisa, Blue Boy and Scream to real life. Her intention is just to make them help her by answering the questions on her work sheet. WoW!!! What, if same happens with you? Don’t get so excited as its’ never gonna happen with you! LOL…

Finally, it’s Justin who redirects the art figures to their respective canvases by stating the specific details. On the other hand, Jerry and Max use a spell to play football which results in a havoc when the football lands in Theresa’s dinner soup. So, this is what happened on season 1 finale.

What’d be there in upcoming season?? No guesses, as no cliffhangers are left unsolved by the series and we can’t say any thing before any official announcement.
